Sven Goran Eriksson proud of Leicester City players

Sven Goran Eriksson is "proud" of his Leicester City players after they record their first home league victory of the season.

Sven Goran Eriksson declared himself "proud" of his Leicester City players after they defeated Southampton 3-2 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The win marked the Foxes' first home victory of the season and Eriksson believes that his side got the result their performance deserved.

"That was in the balance right until the end. Southampton have been together as a team for a while now and you could see that by the way they played it around in the final moments of the game," Eriksson told the club's official website.

"I feel that we were unlucky last week against Nottingham Forest, so perhaps we deserved the breaks today. I am proud of the players. They showed great spirit and great heart."

After the international break Leicester travel to Oakwell to take on Barnsley.
