The city of Leicester recently saw its lockdown measured tightened following a surge in coronavirus cases, with Health Secretary Matt Hancock announcing that all non-essential shops and schools in the area are set to shut later this week.

The local lockdown naturally begs the question as to what will happen regarding Leicester's home game against Palace this Saturday, and according to The Sun, Premier League chiefs will meet on Tuesday in order to map out a way forward.

The report claims that the league are making preparations for the game to be delayed or moved to a different location, but the decision on whether or not the match can go ahead will ultimately fall upon the shoulders of the city's Safety Advisory Group.

Leicester currently lie third in the Premier League table after 31 matches, while Palace remain in 11th following a 1-0 loss at home to Burnley on Monday evening.
