Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson rues his side's poor finishing in front of goal in their defeat to Peterborough United at London Road.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has lamented his side's finishing in front of goal in their 2-1 defeat to Peterborough United.

The Foxes took the lead through Ben Marshall but were pegged back by a Davide Petrucci strike, and with two minutes to go Posh midfielder Grant McCann struck to seal a win for the home side.

"It's a poor result, we had enough chances to win it and it's an opportunity missed," Pearson told the club's official website.

"We've had 20 attempts today – I'd have been disappointed with a draw, but to lose it, I'm obviously not very happy."

Leicester missed the chance to leapfrog Hull City in the automatic promotion places and remain third in the Championship.
