Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Championship clash between Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers.

Leicester City will attempt to consolidate their position in the Championship playoffs when they welcome a resurgent Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday.

The Foxes have taken 10 points from their last six matches to move into fifth position in the table, but they are some 16 points behind leaders Cardiff City.

Blackburn, meanwhile, have managed nine points in the same period to move into 10th position. As it stands, they are seven points outside of the top six with a game in hand on the teams around them.

The reverse fixture earlier in the season ended in a 2-1 win for Blackburn, but Leicester have the third-best home record in the division, having taken 35 points from 16 matches.

The home side are expected to continue with Harry Kane and Chris Woods in attack, with David Nugent occupying a wider position. However, Richie Wellens is also pushing for a place in the team.

Blackburn, meanwhile, are expected to name on-loan duo Karim Rekik and David Bentley in their starting side, but Morten-Gamst Pedersen is also pushing for a recall after coming off the bench in the goalless draw with Leeds United at the weekend.

Recent form:

Leicester: WLLLD
Blackburn: WDWLD

Possible lineups:

Leicester: Schmeichel; Da Laet, Morgan, Keane, Konchesky; Drinkwater, King, Marshall, Nugent; Kane, Woods

Blackburn: Kean; Orr, Dann, Hanley, Rekik; Lowe, Bentley, Murphy, Kazim-Richards; DJ Campbell, Rhodes

Sports Mole says: 2-1
