Andy King: 'We can't get carried away'

Leicester City midfielder Andy King insists that his side can stay up this season, but urges his teammates not to get carried away with their recent win over West Ham.

Leicester City midfielder Andy King has urged his teammates to keep their feet on the ground following their victory over West Ham United at the weekend.

King netted the decisive goal at the King Power Stadium to clinch a 2-1 triumph over the Hammers that ended an eight-match winless streak for the Foxes.

Leicester remain rooted to the bottom of the table and are six points from safety, but they have at least one game in hand over the teams around them in the table and King is hopeful that they can finally begin to turn their performances into results.

"We know what we're capable of and anyone who has watched us this season will probably not be writing us off," King told the club's official website.

"It's only three points, we've still got eight massive games left and we know what we have to do.

"Other teams will be aware that we've been playing well and not getting results, so they probably think it's only a matter of time before we turn that corner and start breathing down their necks. Hopefully we've started that now, but it's only one win and we need a few more. We can't start getting carried away."

Leicester take on West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns in their next match this weekend.
