Grant McCann scored in the 88th minute to give Peterborough United a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Leicester City at London Road.
The Posh started the brighter of the two teams and Kaspar Schmeichel had to be at his best to get down low and turn Grant McCann's free-kick round the post as it looked to be creeping into the bottom corner.
After the break, the Foxes stamped their authority on the game and duly took the lead through Ben Marshall, who converted Danny Drinkwater's cross from close range.
Minutes later Vardy came within inches of adding a second for the visitors but he just couldn't get his foot to Nugent's ball across the face of goal when he had the net gaping.
This was to cost the Foxes as the home side equalised through Petrucci, who scored in spectacular fashion with a 20-yard screamer that flew into the top corner.
Two minutes from time, Peterborough took the lead as McCann drilled an effort into the bottom corner after being brilliantly set up by George Boyd, who beat several defenders before finding his teammate.
