The Leicester boss is the favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked.

Leicester manager Claude Puel is happy for punters to keep wasting their money by betting on his future.

The Frenchman has been under fire at the King Power Stadium, despite the Foxes sitting eighth in the Premier League.

They were booed off after a 2-1 defeat to Southampton on Saturday and head to Wolves this weekend.

Puel is the 2/5 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job and wants any bets to lose.

"The common thread, in all the press conferences, I cannot manage this speculation," he said.

"It's often people have a lot of bets about my future, I am sorry for people who made this bet because they lost a lot of money. I hope this situation continues.

"I've not got a problem with the fans' feelings, we have the same feeling. We were angry about our last performance and we lost the credit of our last (home) result (a 2-1 win over Manchester City).

But Puel remained calm after Jamie Vardy attempted to scare him in training on Thursday.

The striker dressed up as Spiderman and jumped out at the boss from behind the bushes at Belvoir Drive, which was filmed by the club, but Puel was unmoved.

He said: "We need a superhero I think and he dressed up. It's a good thing to smile about. They had a day off yesterday and came back with a smile.

"We know Jamie, he wanted to take the focus off the team. I am not surprised about him."

Puel has been boosted by Jonny Evans' swift return from a toe injury after missing the Southampton defeat.

Defender Evans was expected to be missing until the end of February but the injury is not as bad as first feared.

"He can come back to the squad," said Puel, who is without Daniel Amartey (broken ankle).

"It was not a serious injury and he will be in the squad tomorrow. Of course it's a boost when a player comes back quicker, I am happy."
