Puel wants more upsets as Leicester manager looks to relieve pressure

The Foxes go to leaders Liverpool next before facing Manchester United and Tottenham.

Under-fire Leicester boss Claude Puel is eyeing more upsets to ease the growing speculation over his position.

The Foxes suffered a heartbreaking last-gasp 4-3 defeat at Molineux in one of the games of the season on Saturday.

It added to the mounting fan unrest with supporters unhappy with Puel's style, despite sitting eighth in the Premier League.

Puel was left with his head in his hands following Diogo Jota's last minute winner, which completed his hat-trick, and Leicester face Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham next.

But having beaten Chelsea and Manchester City over Christmas he is confident the Foxes can turn things around.

He said: "Against good teams, we have had good consistency. I hope we can find this again against the teams and get good results.

"We've shown good quality before against these teams and it'll be our challenge for the next games.

"I want my players to now have a rest in their minds, physically and come back with a smile, to correct the things, to manage the next game and to create, together, an upset."

Demarai Gray and Conor Coady's own goal hauled Leicester level after they fell 2-0 down after 12 minutes.

Jota and Ryan Bennett put Wolves ahead and Jota's second regained their lead in the 64th minute.

Wes Morgan equalised again with three minutes left but Jota won it in the third minute of injury time.

It was a third straight defeat with the Foxes having gone out of the FA Cup to Sky Bet League Two Newport this month.

And winger Gray knows Puel is under pressure after the loss at Molineux.

"It is football for you, there is always speculation and pressure. All we do is keep doing what we do week in, week out," he said.

"We have had some decent results over the past weeks against some top teams.

"I think we will keep working hard and the results will keep coming.

"We have some tough games but we have already shown we can play against any team and beat top teams like we did in December. We are more than capable of getting results."
