Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has reportedly turned to Crystal Palace's Dwight Gayle to bolster his attacking options at the King Power Stadium before tomorrow's transfer deadline passes.
The Foxes have been linked with a host of strikers this month, including Eder, Ahmed Musa and Graziano Pelle.
However, having been unable to strike a deal for any of those frontmen, Ranieri has now entered the running to sign 25-year-old Gayle, according to The People.
The report adds that Leicester will face competition for the centre-forward from Swansea City, who tabled a £7m bid on Friday.
Gayle joined the Eagles from Peterborough United in 2013 for £4.5m.
