Leicester City have edged closer to completing their first piece of incoming transfer business this month after Youri Tielemans reportedly passed a medical at the club's training ground.
The Monaco midfielder had been courted by a number of Premier League sides in recent weeks, including Arsenal, West Ham United and Newcastle United, but the Foxes appear to have won the race for his signature on a loan move for the rest of the season.
According to Sky Sports News, the 21-year-old spent the afternoon at Leicester's Belvoir Drive training ground before heading to the King Power Stadium with his family to meet club officials.
An announcement of the loan deal is now expected imminently alongside confirmation that midfielder Adrien Silva will move in the opposite direction, also on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
Tielemans has registered five goals in the league this season for Monaco, who remain in deep relegation trouble near the bottom of Ligue 1.
