Half-Time Report: David Mooney gives Leyton Orient slender lead

David Mooney fires Leyton Orient into a 1-0 half-time lead over Colchester United at the Matchroom Stadium today.

David Mooney has given Leyton Orient a 1-0 half-time lead over Colchester United at the Matchroom Stadium.

The Irishman fired Orient ahead on 21 minutes, latching on to a Dean Cox cross to rifle beyond goalkeeper Sam Walker.

United responded well to falling behind and nearly provided a riposte on the half-hour mark through Gavin Massey, who shot narrowly wide of Eldin Jakupovic's post.

Kevin Lisbie - recalled to the starting lineup for the first time in two games - almost justified his inclusion by doubling the advantage shortly after, wriggling free of his marker before forcing a good save from Walker.
