Lille lead Monaco at half time thanks to Nolan Roux's 26th-minute strike at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Nolan Roux has fired Lille into a half-time lead over AS Monaco in their Ligue 1 meeting at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

The home side made a decent start and took the lead in the 26th minute when the French striker turned the ball home with his knee from two yards out following a dangerous Florent Balmont corner.

A sloppy back pass from Simon Kjaer let Radamel Falcao in to shoot at Vincent Enyeama, but the Colombian fired over the bar from 25 yards out.

Salomon Kalou came close to getting his studs onto a low ball into the box moments later, although he was perhaps fortunate to escape reprimand when he tried to win a penalty from Danijel Subasic's challenge.
