Lille manager Rene Girard has heaped praise on goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama for his performance in the win over Lorient on Saturday.
The Nigerian, who spent last season on loan at Maccabi Tel Aviv, returned to the starting lineup and made a number of impressive stops as Les Dogues began their Ligue 1 campaign with a 1-0 win at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
After the match, Girard was full of kinds words about Enyeama and insists he has no problem with the 30-year-old being his first-choice keeper.
"Regarding Vincent Enyeama, he only had two stops to make and he did both very well. This is the mark of great goalkeepers," Girard told reporters.
"Personally, I feel comfortable in the area."
Divock Origi scored 13 minutes into the game to give Lille the win.
