Divock Origi inspires Lille to victory with hat-trick

Divock Origi scores a hat-trick as Lille ease past Rennes 3-0 in Ligue 1.

A Divock Origi-inspired Lille have eased past Rennes 3-0 in Ligue 1 this afternoon.

The on-loan Liverpool striker struck a hat-trick for Rene Girard's men as they moved up to eighth in France's top division.

Origi opened his account after the half-hour mark when he reacted quickest to some pinball inside the area to smash the ball into the roof of the net.

The Belgium international doubled his tally from the penalty spot just before the hour mark after Sofiane Boufal was brought down inside the area.

Origi completed his treble and an easy day's work for Lille when he slid in to tap home Idrissa Gueye's cross after good work from Nolan Roux in the build-up.
