Lille plan to keep Mathieu Debuchy

French club Lille will reportedly try to keep hold of full-back Mathieu Debuchy for another 12 months.

Lille are reportedly planning to keep hold of Mathieu Debuchy for another season.

The full-back is said to be keen to seal a move away from the French club, with Newcastle United and Inter Milan said thought to be interested in his services.

As a result, Lille coach Rudy Garcia is believed to have identified Troyes defender Djibril Sidibe as an ideal replacement for the 26-year-old.

However, Garcia feels that Sidibe would benefit greatly from playing alongside Debuchy for the next 12 months, according to L'Equipe.

That means any transfer for Debuchy would have to wait for at least one year.
