How Liverpool could line up against Napoli

Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up in their Champions League Group C clash with Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo.

Liverpool will be bidding to make it two wins from two in the Champions League when they take on Serie A runners-up Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo on Wednesday night.

The Reds saw their perfect start to the season come to an end with a defeat and draw in two meetings with Chelsea last week, but they lead the way in Group C courtesy of their matchday one victory over Paris Saint-Germain.

Last season's beaten finalists now face another difficult test against top-class opposition, who are managed by three-time Champions League-winning coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Jurgen Klopp could set his side up against the Italian outfit.

Possible LIV XI vs. NAP

Out: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee)
Doubtful: Adam Lallana (groin), Divock Origi (ankle)

The form of Daniel Sturridge - who scored twice last week and also against PSG on matchday one - led to Klopp hinting that he could be pushing for a starting role soon, but it is unlikely that he will replace Roberto Firmino for this match.

The front three of Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah should once again remain untouched despite questions over their form beginning to rise, with Xherdan Shaqiri also having to make do with a place on the bench.

There could be a change in midfield, though, where Klopp has used Naby Keita sparingly since his bright start but could include him from the off on Wednesday night in order to give Georginio Wijnaldum a rest.

James Milner simply does not seem to need resting despite his advancing years, and Klopp could otherwise opt against tinkering with his side despite a showdown with Manchester City looming on Sunday.
