Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that it is unlikely Philippe Coutinho will be fit enough to feature against Maribor tomorrow night.
The 25-year-old was forced to sit out the 3-0 home victory over Huddersfield Town on Saturday due to an adductor issue and, although he has resumed training, Klopp believes that it may be too soon for him to feature in the Champions League tie.
"To be honest, it doesn't look like [it], but yesterday he was on the pitch running. Everything looks good, but not sure. We'll see," Klopp told the Liverpool website.
"We didn't speak about him today so far, it's quite early and there are still a few hours until we train tonight and a few hours until the game. If he is ready, he is playing. If not, not."
Meanwhile, Coutinho's longer-term future at Anfield remains the subject of continued speculation, with a report in recent days suggesting that he could finally secure a move to Barcelona in January.
