Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted that Daniel Sturridge will be involved in his side's Europa League semi-final second leg against Villarreal on Thursday.
The striker has been left out of his side's biggest games recently, playing second fiddle to Divock Origi for both quarter-final legs against Borussia Dortmund and the Merseyside derby against Everton, before being left on the bench for the entirety of the first leg at El Madrigal.
Sturridge was back in the starting XI for this weekend's 3-1 defeat at the hands of Swansea City, and despite playing the full 90 minutes Klopp is expecting him to be available from the start when they welcome Villarreal to Anfield.
"If he feels something I said he should give me a sign. He said he wanted to play the 90 minutes and it's no problem," Klopp told reporters.
"He did not play on Thursday and it's four or five days until Thursday again. He's good."
Liverpool go into Thursday's second leg looking to overturn a one-goal deficit in order to reach the Europa League final.
