Mamadou Sakho praises Liverpool "heart"

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho praises his side's "heart" and the contribution of the fans during their 4-3 Europa League quarter-final victory over Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has praised the "heart" shown by his side during their 4-3 victory over Borussia Dortmund this evening.

The Reds twice recovered from a two-goal deficit to book their place in the semi-finals of the Europa League on a memorable European night at Anfield.

Sakho levelled things at 3-3 on the night before Dejan Lovren scored the winner in stoppage time, and the France international dedicated the victory to everyone associated with the club.

"The most important thing was the team played with heart and the fans never leave us. It's a win for the Liverpool country," Sakho told BT Sport.

Liverpool have now reached the last four of a European competition for the first time since 2010.
