Pulis pays tribute to club's fans

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has admitted that he was "disappointed" for the club's fans following their 2-1 FA Cup loss to Liverpool on Sunday.

Stewart Downing scored the winner as the Potters were eliminated from the competition, but Pulis feels that the fans will be key in the final months of the season.

"I'm disappointed for the fans. They have been the bedrock of what this club has achieved in the last five or six years that I have been here," Pulis told reporters.

"We need them to get behind us now for the last six or seven home games of the season and we still need to get to 40 points."

Stoke sit 14th in the Premier League table.
