FIFA 22 ratings: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson ratings revealed

Sports Mole takes a look at Liverpool duo Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold's FIFA 22 ratings following the reveal of the top 20 Premier League players.

On the second day of the EA Sports FIFA 22 ratings reveal, the Premier League's top 20 players have been announced, with a wealth of stars from Monday's top 22 announcement making the cut.

As far as Liverpool are concerned, Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Alisson Becker and Sadio Mane were all included in the top 22-ranked players in the game, although each member of the quartet was downgraded from a 90 to an 89.

Now, the top 20 players in the Premier League have been officially released, with both of Liverpool's full-back stalwarts in Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson joining their teammates this time around.

Here, Sports Mole examines Alexander-Arnold and Robertson's ratings, while comparing both cards to their previous FIFA 21 versions.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 87

Having seemingly defended his title as the highest-rated right-back in the game, Trent Alexander-Arnold keeps his 87 rating from FIFA 21, even if his 2020-21 season was not the most prolific on the attacking front.

The 22-year-old failed to register a third consecutive double-figure assist haul in the Premier League last season as he scored two goals and set up seven more in 36 games, but his shooting and passing stats have nonetheless been handed upgrades to 68 and 88 from 66 and 87 respectively.

Alexander-Arnold's dribbling and defending stats both stay put at 80, whereas his physical has increased by one to 72, but he has dropped into the 70s for pace after a -1 downgrade on his 80 stat from FIFA 21.

While we are still waiting for the full ratings to be released, it is safe to assume that Alexander-Arnold's 87 at right-back will not be beaten, with Joao Cancelo coming in at 86 while Kyle Walker boasts an 85.

Andy Robertson - 87

Similarly, Andy Robertson's rating - unlike that of several of his teammates - has not taken a hit this year either, with the Scottish left-back also keeping his 87-rated card from FIFA 21.

The 27-year-old - like Alexander-Arnold - also failed to hit the 10-assist mark in the league last term following two successive years of doing so, but he managed to set up his teammates seven times while not missing a single game.

Robertson's 80 passing and 76 physical have both stayed the same, and a -1 on his shooting - going from 62 to 61 - represents the only downgrade on his card stats this year.

Indeed, the defender's pace, dribbling and defending have all been bumped up by one to 84, 81 and 82 respectively, but with Barcelona's ratings yet to be officially announced, it remains to be seen if he will hold off Jordi Alba for the accolade of highest-rated left-back.
