Liverpool could temporarily leapfrog Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table when they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

Jurgen Klopp made seven changes to his side en route to victory over Burnley in midweek and is expected to use a number of fringe players once again, with a crucial Champions League clash against Napoli and then a Premier League showdown with Manchester United to come next week.

Klopp has quite the balance to strike for this match considering the threat Bournemouth will pose and the magnitude of the two matches next week, but changes will nonetheless be in the offing.
Sadio Mane and Andrew Robertson missed the Burnley win through injuries picked up in the Merseyside derby, and while Robertson in particular is expected to have recovered, Klopp is unlikely to take any risks with his key players.
Mohamed Salah could therefore start a second game in a row on the bench, but Roberto Firmino may be handed a recall after coming off the bench to score at Turf Moor.
Joe Gomez joined a growing injury list with an ankle problem against the Clarets and will be replaced by Trent Alexander-Arnold, while Dejan Lovren is expected to recover from an illness to start alongside Virgil van Dijk, who seems to be the only outfield player too important to rest.
Fabinho could return in place of Jordan Henderson, whose lack of regular football this season may mean that such a busy schedule is too much for him at this stage, while Adam Lallana is in contention to make a rare start.
