Joe Gomez, Georginio Wijnaldum take part in Liverpool training

Joe Gomez and Georginio Wijnaldum take part in Liverpool training ahead of Saturday's match against West Bromwich Albion.

Joe Gomez and Georginio Wijnaldum have given Liverpool an injury boost by taking part in training on Wednesday.

Wijnaldum was ruled out of Monday night's goalless draw with Manchester United due to a hamstring injury.

Gomez has been on the treatment table for a year after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in the early stages of the 2015-16 season.

The 19-year-old targeted a return in the summer, but he suffered an Achilles problem, which pushed back his recovery.

Today, Gomez joined his teammates in training ahead of this Saturday's Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.

Liverpool currently sit fourth in the Premier League table.
