Gareth Southgate will be without at least six players for England's final matches of 2017, as three more have been forced to withdraw from the squad through injury.

England boss Gareth Southgate has been dealt a further blow as three more players have pulled out of his squad to face Germany and Brazil.

Manchester City pair Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph will play no part in the prestige friendlies, while Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has also been ruled out.

The trio join injured Tottenham Hotspur players Harry Kane, Harry Winks and Dele Alli in withdrawing from Southgate's depleted squad.

Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahill is expected to be fit enough to face Germany at Wembley Stadium on Friday night, however, having joined up late with the national side after picking up a knock against Manchester United.

Southgate has already called up Michael Keane and Jake Livermore for his side's final matches of 2017.
