Martin Skrtl eyes more silverware with Liverpool after their dramatic Carling Cup victory over Cardiff City at Wembley Stadium.

Liverpool's Martin Skrtl has admitted that he hopes to win more silverware after his side's Carling Cup final victory over Cardiff City at Wembley Stadium.

The defender scored to level the match at 1-1 before Dirk Kuyt put the Reds 2-1 ahead in extra time.

However, Ben Turner's goal sent the game to penalties, which Liverpool won 3-2.

"It was great game in such a beautiful stadium," said Skrtl. "The atmosphere was unbelievable with the fans from Liverpool and the fans from Cardiff.

"I think everybody plays football for the trophies and that was our first one and I hope there will be more and more."

Skrtl joined Liverpool from Zenit St Petersburg in 2008.
