Luis Suarez says that playing for Liverpool at Wembley is a "dream come true" for him.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has described the prospect of playing in Sunday's Carling Cup final against Cardiff as a "dream come true".

Suarez, 25, has been shrouded in controversy this season and was suspended for eight matches after racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra, but the Uruguay international is hoping to create some positive headlines at Wembley.

"As for all players it is a dream come true to play at Wembley," Suarez told the official Cup final matchday programme.

"It is going to be a special occasion for both teams.

"People in Uruguay know all about Wembley with it being the national stadium in England. It is famous worldwide."

Suarez joined Liverpool in 2011, scoring 14 goals in 37 appearances in that time.
