The January transfer window is now open, with Liverpool continuing to be linked with a host of big names.
Jurgen Klopp has been forced to contend with a crippling injury crisis during the first half of the season, leading to speculation that the Premier League champions could move for a new defender this month.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.
Saturday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:
Liverpool lining up summer move for Renato Sanches?
Liverpool have reportedly identified Lille midfielder Renato Sanches as a potential summer transfer target.
Jurgen Klopp is currently attempting to convince Georginio Wijnaldum to extend his stay at Anfield past the end of this season.
However, with the Netherlands international still considering his future, the Premier League champions must assess their options ahead of 2021-22.
Speaking on his Here We Go Podcast, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Klopp has taken an interest in Sanches.
Despite having previously endured a disastrous loan spell on loan at Swansea City during 2017-18, the Portuguese has since established himself as a key man at Lille.
While the 23-year-old has another two-and-a-half years on his contract, Lille may be prepared to part ways with Sanches in the summer.
Bayern Munich to battle Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur for Eder Militao?
Bayern Munich could reportedly rival Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Real Madrid centre-back Eder Militao during the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old has largely struggled to impress for Los Blancos since arriving from Porto in 2019, and the Brazil international has only made three appearances in all competitions this term.
Liverpool and Tottenham have both been linked with the centre-back amid suggestions that Madrid are prepared to let him leave on a loan with an option to buy this summer.
According to Goal, Bayern are also in the hunt for the South American, with the Bundesliga giants targeting a replacement for David Alaba, who could leave on a free transfer this year.
The report claims that no official bids have arrived, but Bayern are in the hunt alongside the Premier League duo, while Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are also said to have made enquiries.
Militao has not been involved for Madrid in La Liga since the end of October.
