Diogo Jota and Naby Keita return to the first XI for Liverpool's Premier League clash with Everton in the Merseyside derby.

Diogo Jota and Naby Keita have returned to the first XI for Liverpool's Premier League clash with Everton in the Merseyside derby.

Jurgen Klopp has made just two changes to the side that thumped Manchester United 4-0, with Jordan Henderson making way for Keita while Jota comes in for Luis Diaz.

Joel Matip continues in the heart of defence alongside Virgil van Dijk, with Ibrahima Konate potentially being spared for the Champions League encounter with Villarreal.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson hold their spots out wide, while Keita is joined by Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho in the engine room.

Roberto Firmino has not been able to recover from a foot issue in time for the derby, so Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane continue in the attack alongside the returning Jota.

Takumi Minamino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Harvey Elliott all miss out on places in the squad for the Reds, who are aiming to cut the gap to Manchester City back down to one point.

Liverpool starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Thiago, Keita; Salah, Jota, Mane

Subs: Kelleher, Konate, Milner, Gomez, Henderson, Jones, Tsimikas, Diaz, Origi
