The cat that halted play during Liverpool's recent Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield is looking for a new owner.
The homeless tabby is currently being cared for at a Merseyside animal rescue centre following a tip-off from a member of the public telling them where he could be found.
Now, the centre is keen for the cat, dubbed 'Shanks' after former Liverpool manager Bill Shankly, to find a new home.
"He is not an aggressive cat and we think he is a bit of a ladies' man, so the wounds must be from fighting off the advances off other male cats," cattery assistant Katherine Gibbs told The Sun.
"He was a little bit timid and reserved when we brought him here, but he has settled in brilliantly.
"Shanks is quite a laid-back cat but he doesn't like dogs, like most cats. He'll be a lap cat, even though he's strong-willed, because he loves his cuddles."
A Twitter account that has been set up by a fan has gained more than 50,000 followers.
