Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan praises Jurgen Klopp's character

Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan praises Jurgen Klopp's character as he bids for more first-team minutes under the manager.

Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has praised Jurgen Klopp's approach on the training field as the player bids for more first-team football.

The 28-year-old, who joined the club from Bolton Wanderers in the summer, has made two appearances so far this season, both in the Capital One Cup.

Klopp has been in charge of the Reds for around three weeks, and Bogdan has given an insight into the German's conduct away from the touchline.

"What you see on TV, he's pretty much the same in training," Bogdan told the club's official website. "He's the same character - he's open, very straight to the point, he has nothing to hide and I think that comes through.

"The way he wants to play is pretty simple and, like I said, he's straight to the point. He shows you on the clips where you should be or what you should have done better and that's it.

"I know what I need to do on the training ground, what things I need to improve. The way I stay patient is because I had a chance to play and the main thing is that I'm hoping that gets me another chance."

Simon Mignolet is the number one keeper, usually starting in Premier League and Europa League fixtures.
