Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has revealed that he had to 'pinch himself' when he realised that he would be training with Steven Gerrard at Melwood.
Gerrard, who now plays for Los Angeles Galaxy, joined in with Liverpool's session on Monday as he keeps up his fitness during the MLS off-season.
Bogdan signed for the Reds shortly after Gerrard ended his 17-year Anfield career, but he was able to train with the club legend this week.
"It was a great experience," Bogdan told the Liverpool Echo. "He's a legend, one of the best players this club has ever had. It made my day.
"When you train, it's supposed to be normal, but for me, this was not normal! It was one of those moments where you have to pinch yourself.
"He's someone I've watched for many years. So you have all these memories stored, and then suddenly he's there and you're training alongside him - it's huge."
Manager Jurgen Klopp has welcomed Gerrard back to Melwood, but both parties have ruled out a loan deal.
