Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has congratulated former teammate Steven Gerrard for closing in on his 700th appearance for the Reds against Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday.
Carragher retired after 737 games for the Anfield side in the summer of 2013, and only Ian Callaghan stands above the pair in the all-time appearance list.
Gerrard is named in Liverpool's starting lineup for the trip to the Macron Stadium, and his former colleague welcomed his former skipper into the "700 club".
Carragher tweeted: "Myself & Ian Callaghan would like to welcome Steven Gerrard into the 700 club!"
