Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole has admitted that he wants his future to be at Anfield, despite previous uncertainty over his next move.
The former Chelsea playmaker, who spent last season on loan at French side Lille, is regarded highly by new Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, which suggests that the 30-year-old will be part of the Northern Irishman's plans.
"Training's going well, I'm building up the fitness and it's great to be back at the club again," Cole told Sky Sports News. "It's very pleasing. I've just trained my best and I'm looking forward to my football.
"When I came here I wanted to be part of the club and help the team, and be part of this great club. That's still the same. I want to be part of a squad that gets us back to the top."
Meanwhile, Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has claimed that Rodgers will have the final decision on striker Andy Carroll's position within the club.
