Philippe Coutinho eyes goalscoring improvement

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho reveals that he wants to improve his goalscoring return for the club.

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has revealed that he is eager to improve his goalscoring return for the club.

The 21-year-old Brazilian has found the net just twice in 18 appearances for the Reds so far this season.

Coutinho's last goal for Liverpool came on Boxing Day during their 2-1 defeat at Manchester City in the Premier League.

When asked what aspects of his game he would like to make better, he told the club's official website: "My goalscoring, for sure. Sometimes my positioning is not the best and I need to improve that to score more goals.

"I want to continue improving and look forward to working harder and harder on what I need to do to be considered a great player."

Liverpool continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they welcome Aston Villa to Anfield.
