Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has said that he has no intention of changing Craig Bellamy's personality.
The 32-year-old's previous stint at the club ended in 2007, following reports of a falling out with manager Rafa Benitez after a bust-up between the Welshman and former Liverpool left-back John Arne Riise.
However, Dalglish insists that Bellamy's attitude is important for the club going forward.
"I think Craig is fortunate in that he has come to a club that doesn't want to take his personality away from him," he said.
"I don't think his temperament will be a problem. He's someone who has impressed me and I can't believe I haven't signed him before in my managerial career.
"He's got pace and energy, and he has a fantastic attitude, which will be important for this club in the future."
Bellamy made 27 Premier League appearances for Liverpool during the 2006/07 season, scoring seven goals.
