Kenny Dalglish looks for swift resolution in racism row

Kenny Dalglish says that the Luis Suarez racism row will be more disruptive the longer it rumbles on.

Kenny Dalglish has called for a swift resolution to the ongoing investigation surrounding allegations of racism made against Luis Suarez.

Suarez was accused of making racist remarks towards Manchester United defender Patrice Evra a fortnight ago, but authorities have still not interviewed the striker.

Meanwhile, the Anfield boss has insisted that the more the saga is drawn out, the more disruptive it will be for all parties.

"The quicker these issues are dealt with, the better it is for everybody," he said.

"Luis Suarez has got the full support of everybody here, but the longer it goes on, the more disruptive it is. I don't think it really helps anybody.

"If it is as clear cut an accusation as everybody says it is, then let's get it done and dealt with. And let's make sure the person who is in the wrong gets punished."

Dalglish's side are currently in seventh place in the Premier League.
