Kenny Dalglish: "Luis Suarez needs protection"

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish believes Luis Suarez deserves more protection and respect from referees.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has called for referees to give Luis Suarez more protection.

The Uruguayan had another frustrating time with the officials in Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Norwich at Anfield yesterday, complaining numerous times when decisions were not given in his favour.

Dalglish feels that Suarez deserves more respect from referees and that the striker's reputation may have gone before him.

"It is their integrity that needs questioning not his. On the football pitch he is exemplary, a fantastic footballer and we have 100% faith in Luis and the way he conducts himself," said Dalglish.

"He needs protection and I don't think he got that out there."
