Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish says that his team are disciplined despite being reduced to nine men against Spurs.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has claimed that his players do not have a discipline problem after being reduced to nine men against Tottenham Hotspur.

Charlie Adam and Martin Skrtel were both dismissed during the Reds' 4-0 defeat at White Hart Lane, but Dalglish believes that his players are in control of themselves.

"You can talk about anyone being undisciplined but we have a very good record for discipline," said the Scot. "My players did not surround the referee to complain at the decisions. That means we don't have a disciplinary problem."

Dalglish had recently met with referees' chief Mike Riley over decisions he felt had not gone his side's way in recent weeks, and he was reluctant to talk about the two sendings off.

"It's better to just leave it. We will just stick to what we can dictate. We cannot dictate interpretation in any way shape or form. It's best left unsaid because it takes away from a magnificent performance by Tottenham."

The Merseyside club next face a trip to Brighton in the Carling Cup on Tuesday.
