Liverpool winger Stewart Downing has admitted that he is enjoying the team's playing style under new manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Reds gave fans a glimpse of what Rodgers wants to achieve during Thursday's 3-0 win over FC Gomel in the Europa League.
"It's still early days. The manager is trying to put his ideas into the team and we've obviously only played together a couple of times, so there are no targets yet," Downing told The Mirror.
"But I like his style and the way he wants us to play. Hopefully it works because he's a good manager, the players all like him and his methods and training are really good."
The Merseysiders get their Premier League campaign underway at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
