Liverpool defender Jose Enrique says the club need to win more home games if they are to secure a Champions League spot this season.

Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has admitted that the club need to win more home games if they are to finish fourth this season.

The Reds have won just four home league games this season, but with Arsenal and Chelsea still to visit Anfield, Enrique believes that addressing their home form will be key in the race for a Champions League spot.

"We lost against United but the truth is that we have to win more games at home. We are still in the race to be in the Champions League next season," Enrique told the club's official website.

"It's hard but Chelsea and Arsenal have lost many points too. Chelsea lost this weekend and we can't forget Newcastle.

"It's really important that we have to play these teams at home and we'll have another man – you play with 12 with our fans."

Liverpool are in FA Cup action against Brighton on Sunday.
