Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan believes that other players need to step up and find the net to alleviate pressure from striker Luis Suarez.

Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan believes that the Reds need more players to find the net and not rely on striker Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan international is currently at the top of the goal-scoring record in the Premier League with 10 goals for the Reds, who only have Suarez as a recognised first-team frontman.

Flanagan, who was responding to questions from Liverpool's Indonesia Twitter account, said: "I think we need to score more goals.

"Suarez is scoring a lot of goals but we need to make sure that if he doesn't score, there are others who can chip in with goals."

The Merseyside outfit are currently 11th in the league table.
