Brad Friedel: 'This is a good time for Tottenham Hotspur to play Liverpool'

Brad Friedel believes that Tottenham are playing Liverpool at a "good time" due to the Merseyside club's recent injuries.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel believes that his side will go into battle with Liverpool at the right time due to the Merseyside outfit's injury list.

The North London outfit face a Liverpool side that are currently second in the Premier League table after 15 games, but manager Brendan Rodgers will be without striker Daniel Sturridge and captain Steven Gerrard due to injuries.

While Spurs were left licking their wounds following a 6-1 hammering at the hands of Manchester City last month, Friedel is confident that Tottenham can get a result at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

"We are getting Liverpool at a good time with their injuries," Friedel told talkSPORT. "Obviously they have Luis Suarez and he is scoring goals for fun but, take the Man City game out of it, we have been very strong defensively.

"We are really looking forward to Sunday and if can get these points on the board then I think our season is looking very healthy."

Three points separate the two clubs in the league standings.
