Liverpool and England defender Glen Johnson could be forced to sit out a number of weeks' worth of action with a hamstring injury.
The full-back made his first appearance of the season as a substitute during the Reds' 1-0 loss at Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
A thigh complaint had seen the 27-year-old miss Liverpool's opening Premier League matches and it now appears that he could be absent for a while longer.
"Can't believe my luck at the mo. Done my hammy again today! Hopefully be back soon," Johnson revealed on Twitter.
Johnson's injury leaves manager Kenny Dalglish without a recognisable right-back in his squad. The other, Martin Kelly, is also recovering from a hamstring problem.
