Joe Cole has heaped praise on his teammate Adam Morgan following the youngster's performance during Liverpool's pre-season match against Toronto on Saturday evening.
The teenager came off the bench to rescue a draw for the Reds against their Canadian opponents in what was the club's first pre-season outing.
Reflecting on the striker's impact, 30-year-old Cole has revealed that he is delighted for Morgan.
"I'm very happy for Adam Morgan. He's a local lad and I know the fans thrive off seeing the young lads come through and playing," Cole told the club's official website.
"He's a nice lad with a great attitude and great ability. He's coming from a rich line of local strikers who have come through the ranks.
"He'll never forget that moment and it's nice that his father was there. It's great. That's what we all watch football for. Watching the young guys come through and fulfilling their dreams. It was a great night for him."
Cole has rejoined Liverpool following a season-long loan spell with French club Lille.
