Glen Johnson: 'Liverpool will miss Steven Gerrard'

Glen Johnson says that Liverpool can cope without injured captain Steven Gerrard.

Glen Johnson has admitted that injured captain Steven Gerrard will be missed by Liverpool in his absence.

The England skipper is currently out with a hamstring problem that he suffered during the 4-1 win over West Ham United at the weekend, and it remains unclear as to how long Gerrard will be out for.

"Any team without Stevie is going to miss him, clearly," Johnson told reporters.

"We have got a good squad and hopefully that (Gerrard's injury) is not as bad as it looks."

Liverpool travel to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
