Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to confirm or deny whether Mamadou Sakho still has a future at the club after joining Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season.
Sakho was frozen out by Klopp after being sent home early from a pre-season tour of the United States for disciplinary reasons, failing to make a single appearance this term before his move to Selhurst Park.
The 26-year-old is expected to leave Anfield on a permanent basis in the summer, but Klopp suggested that plenty can change between now and the end of the season.
"If I should give advice to Mama I would do it personally, not in front of [cameras]," he told reporters.
"Who knows what happens in half a year? We felt already what changed in one month and there is another five to go. He should concentrate on the job at Palace and we should concentrate on the job here.
"At the moment he is on loan and he still has a contract at Liverpool but that is not the thing we talk or think about at this moment. It is a solution for the moment and we can wait for new impressions and what happens."
Sakho could make his debut for Palace against Sunderland on Saturday.
