Liverpool reach the 50-goal mark in a top flight season quicker than ever before courtesy of their 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Liverpool have reached 50 top-flight goals in a season quicker than ever before courtesy of their two strikes during this afternoon's 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds fell behind to Harry Kane's opener in North London, but goals from Diogo Jota and Andrew Robertson either side of half time turned the game around.

Son Heung-min then capitalised on an Alisson Becker error to earn a point for the hosts, while Robertson was later sent off in an action-packed and entertaining affair.

While the draw sees Liverpool lose ground in the Premier League title race, they do still remain the division's leading scorers with 50 goals from their 18 outings.

Robertson bringing up their half-century means that they have now reached that milestone in fewer games than ever before from the start of a top-flight season.

Jurgen Klopp's side have scored in each of their last 33 games across all competitions and their last 27 outings on the road, both of which are also club records.
