The chairman of the Liverpool supporters club says that Luis Suarez's lengthy ban is "no shock" and that he "deserves everything he gets".

Liverpool supporters club chairman Richard Pedder has slammed the behaviour of striker Luis Suarez and believes that he "deserves everything he gets" after being handed a 10-match ban.

The Uruguayan will now miss the rest of the season as well as the start of next year after biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic during the meeting between the two sides on Sunday at Anfield.

Pedder now feels that Suarez should be told that he is on his last chance with the Merseysiders.

"I don't think it's a shock, I think he deserves everything he gets," Pedder told BBC Sport.

"It's down to the club to tell him 'this is your last chance'. He won't leave the club [this summer]. They shouldn't have said anything and just accepted the ban.

"With them releasing a statement, it's going to go on and on again and we want it closed. We haven't had enough but we're concerned. Nobody is bigger than the club."

Suarez remains on a six-man shortlist for PFA Player of the Year.
