Javi Manquillo: 'Brendan Rodgers has helped me settle'

Atletico Madrid loanee Javi Manquillo reveals that Spanish-speaking Brendan Rodgers has helped him settle since his loan move to Liverpool in the summer.

Liverpool defender Javi Manquillo has stated that Brendan Rodgers's ability to speak Spanish has helped him settle since his switch from Atletico Madrid.

The 20-year-old moved to Anfield on a loan deal from the La Liga champions and has admitted that his manager has been a big aid to his development.

He told AS: "Rodgers speaks Spanish and that helped me and Alberto Moreno to understand.

"[The language] is the hardest things, but I have help. Jose Enrique and Suso are some of our guides here.

"It was very important. It is true he did not mind my age or anything. He has helped me a lot."

Manqullio has made 12 appearances for the Reds so far this season.
