Report: Glen Johnson to return for Liverpool

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson is reportedly fit to be considered by Saturday's trip to Newcastle United.

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson is reportedly fit enough to be considered for a return to action against Newcastle United this weekend.

The England international has not featured for the Reds since he was injured in their 1-0 win over Manchester United at the beginning of September.

However, the right-back has now returned to full training and is in contention for the trip to the Magpies on Saturday lunchtime, according to the Daily Mail.

Johnson is likely to feature as a right wing-back following manager Brendan Rodgers's switch to a 3-5-2 formation in recent weeks.
